With Spherical Technology, best-in-class ventilation, deep coverage and luxurious comfort, Manifest is the most premium trail-riding helmet available. Among the Manifest’s extraordinary features is Spherical Technology, which utilizes a ball-and-socket design powered by MIPS®, the market-leading brain protection system that helps to reduce rotational forces. Spherical Technology allows the outer liner to rotate around the inner liner during a crash and also eliminates contact with a hard-plastic slip-plane. In addition to leading head protection, the Manifest offers wide-open airflow thanks to the AURA reinforcing arch, which bolsters structural integrity while allowing air to flow into the massive Wind Tunnel vents. Fit adjustments are achieved with a redesigned Roc Loc® Trail Air fit system that offers dynamic strength while improving ventilation and comfort. And plush X-Static padding provides exceptional sweat absorption.
What makes a good helmet?
A helmet should obviously protect you from getting hurt when you fall. Most are designed to handle a direct hit, but crashes don’t work like that. For example, if you’re cycling on a road or trail at 10, 15, 20 mph or faster and you fall and hit the ground, there is a lot of moving energy. The angled impact of your helmet on the ground causes rotational motion, and those forces can transfer to your brain. Our low-friction layer inside the helmet allows multi-directional movement of 10-15mm on certain angled impacts, intended to help reduce rotational force to the head.
